“Mondays Finish the Story. This is a flash fiction challenge where we provide you with a new photo each week, and the first sentence of a story. Your challenge is to finish the story using 100-150 words, not including the sentence provided.”

The only residents remaining in the small town of Miners Hill are spirits. Not only standard spirits (that haunt you) but those of bakers and artists and singers and bar tenders. But especially of one young man and his new bride in a new home. And the one small spirit, sitting by their door, the hope of a child never born.
