11-’15 Day 20 Chicken on the Road

City folk think I’m a farm girl. Farm folk think I’m a city girl. -Me

So the other day, when it was still nice weather, I was traveling to a fun place to do a fun thing. While I was driving down the interstate I saw a gravel frontage road and on it was a couple chickens roaming free.

And I thought, how strange. And then I thought, how strange that I thought how strange. You see, I tend to claim that I “grew up in a farm” when really I only grew up on a “rural farmstead”. We didn’t have animals to take care of (other than a dog and a couple barn cats). We didn’t have “Chickens on the road” even in the miles of nearby neighboring homes and roads we traveled.

Anyway, I just thought it was funny. That’s all for now.
